God gives us Victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ
I greet you in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, the Son of God. I am writing this special 2015 message from the special word from the precious word of God.
“ O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ “. ( 1 Corinthians 15:55-57).
I always tell my engineering students that God gives you victory, but the devil gives few of you, weak in mind students, the failure. God is the reason for success and the devil is behind every failure, because he is the defeated enemy. But to my spiritual disciples of Jesus, I tell you God gives us victory over death, through our Lord Jesus Christ.
What is death? Why is death in the world?
The Holy Bible says in Romans 6:23 : “ The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
Paul, the apostle is writing to Roman believers about a wonderful thrilling message of God’s gift. Sometimes people consider their material blessings such as New House, New Car, Good amount of money as deposit, Food, Shelter, Career success are as the gifts of God. Nothing wrong in that. Much more than these wonderful blessings, God wants you to partake His heavenly gift.
Before you understand this Heavenly gift, which I believe is God’s eternal life, let us meditate on the two words life and death. There are three types of death.
- Physical death - physical life departing from the physical body
- Spiritual death – men and women who are not born again, dead in their sins, and spiritually separated from God
- Second death/eternal death – which is the lake of fire, for those who reject Jesus, throughout their life time, not believing on Him.
You overcome these deaths, through believing on the risen Savior Jesus. He suffered on the cross, shed His precious blood, died on that wonderful day on that old rugged cross, and He was buried, but on the third day, He rose again from the death, rising victoriously, conquered death on the cross of calvary. What happened? This is what happened to Him! Jesus died for us, so that, we need not die. There is no death for me and you, since He in our place as our substitute died on the cross. Let us read this truth in Hebrews 2:14,15:
“ Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage”.
Some people are in bondage throughout their life time, because of fear of death, instilled or poisoned by the devil in their minds. The devil makes you fearful. God manifested in flesh and blood in the form of Jesus. He destroyed devil and his great weapon, which is death itself. Jesus the Son of God, was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. He destroyed him and death through His suffering and death on the cross. The cross is not defeat, it is the plan of God to defeat devil and his armies. Are you in bondage of devil? I tell you, you are not a victim; you are a victor, never victims. The victor Jesus had defeated the victims’ head, the devil. You are released in the mighty name of Jesus. Believe on the Lord Jesus and receive His life and be born again.
What is life? What is Eternal life?
Jesus explained to Nicodemus, the wonderful truth of being born again or born of God. We are born of God. How did we get this born again experience? Hebrews 6:4,5 explains that truth:
“... who were once enlightened, and tasted the heavenly gift and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come”.
Jesus is the true light, which enlightens everyone, who comes into the world. Heavenly gift, I believe, is the life of God, which is eternal life, which you receive in your spirit, when you believe Jesus the Son of God. You shall not perish, but have eternal life. God loves you.
After being born again, you are baptized with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which will change the whole house of the Lord. Jesus explained this truth already before the Hebrews letter writer, in John 3:3-5:
3. Jesus answered and said to him,” Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4. Nicodemus said to Him, “ How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5. Jesus answered,” Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God”.
Born again experience is really a highest kind of miracle in one’s personal life. That is:
- Tasting the good word of God ( taste and see that the Lord is good),
- Being baptized by the Holy Spirit
- Seeing and entering into the kingdom of God ( Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit)
These are heavenly experiences, those who have experienced these three spiritual experiences are called born again or being born of God and are given authority (power) to become sons and daughters of the Almighty true God. You are a child of God and have fellowship with Him as your Heavenly Father. He is more than your God, He is your heavenly Father.
What is Salvation?
In the name of Jesus, you have salvation, healing, deliverance, baptism, blessings and the list goes on and on and on. The Bible says in Acts 4:12
‘ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we might be saved”.
I am writing this pastoral newsletter, so that you might be blessed with all the blessings of God, including the very first blessing of the salvation of your soul, which is precious. The Name of Jesus is the greater higher and wonderful name. Jesus which means salvation, He saves, heals, forgives, delivers and blesses you with victory. He is our Saviour and Lord. Believe on Him, He is trustworthy.
“ Blessed is the man who trust in the LORD, and whose hope is in the LORD”( Jer. 17:7).
Shall we pray, God gives us victory. He is our life. This is the year of victory over every negative forces. Let us confess that God gives us victory. Thank Him, Praise Him and Worship Him.
PRAYER:
Father in Heaven, without Jesus, I am lost. But I do not want to be lost. I receive Jesus the Son of God in my spirit and the life of God is imparted into me, and I am born again. Wash me clean and make me a new born babe spiritually. Baptize me in the Holy Spirit. I want to grow as the man/servant of God. I shall serve you forever. Jesus, I am your servant and your friend. God bless me and supply all my needs according to your riches in glory. Thank you Jesus. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
