1. Miraculous Healing
“ Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “ Please notice, the situation of the city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the ground barren”. And he said,” Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it”. So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said,” Thus says the LORD; “ I have healed this water, from it there shall be no more death or barrenness”. So the water remains healed to this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spoke”. ( 2 Kings 2:19-22).
2. What is your Problem?
Elisha was God’s prophet. He performed greater number of miracles than Elijah, his spiritual father. The sons of the prophet said,” The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha”. We can expect much more miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit imparts into you power, love and sound mind.
Let us meditate this healing miracle narrated in 2 Kings 2:19-22. The men of the City said to Elisha two statements: The first statement is positive confession, but the second statement is negative confession.
+ ve confession: “ Please notice, the situation of the city is pleasant”.
_ ve confession: “ The water is bad, and the ground barren”.
The Prophet of God accepted the positive fact. But he thought about the – ve fact, and provided a wonderful solution for the condition. What is your condition? Is it uncleanness? Have you lost your valuables and your house? Are you suffering because of loss or diseases or apparent failure? Cheer up. God’s Word has a solution.
3. God’s Precious Promise
There is a wonderful promise of God in the Book of Exodus, for the children of Israel. This promise holds good for us believers in Jesus our LORD.
“ So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land: I will fulfil the number of your days” ( Exodus 23:25,26).
Confession:” The LORD blesses my bread and my water. He takes sickness away from the midst of me. I shall serve the LORD my God with gladness in my heart. Our women shall not suffer miscarriage. There is no barrenness in our city, in our Tamil Nadu, in our Nation. The LORD will fulfil the number of our days. We will live long and strong. In Jesus Name, I confess these positive words”.
4. Elisha Provides Solution:
And he said,” Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it”. So they brought it to him.
A study of Ground water use in the United States, for example, reveals that groundwater serves as an important resource in all climatic zones. Reasons for this include its convenient availability near the point of use, its excellent quality( which typically requires little treatment), and its relatively low cost of development. Groundwater predominates as the water source in humid locales such as Barbados, Jamaica, and Hawaii.
Elisha provided a simple solution to the big problem. According to his prophetical instruction, they obeyed( the men of the city) and brought a new bowl, putting salt in it. Notice: A new bowl, put salt in it. Elisha himself went out to the source of the water. And he cast the salt there and said some powerful words of end result over it. “ Thus says the LORD: ”I have healed this water, from it there shall be no more death or barrenness”.
I have healed this water. From this water, here after, there shall be life, abundant life, and fruitfulness. When you become a new person( new creation) in Christ the anointed one, and put graceful words in your water source, you can heal any situation or barrenness or curse. Put salt ( gracious words) in it and heal it.
5. Apostallic Remedy:
Read Colossians 4:6: Apostle Paul said: “ Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”
SALT: Common white substance that is found in sea water and the earth. Salt is used in cooking for flavouring food: Season with salt and pepper. Add a pinch (= a small amount) of salt. ( Chemistry) a chemical mixture ( compound) of metal and an acid.
Jesus spoke gracious, powerful, life giving words. Similarly, we as Born Again believers in Him, should speak success, healing, provision, answer, solution to the world conditions. Then Everything works for good. All is well.
When Elisha, the prophet spoke words from the LORD, the water was healed:”So the water remains healed to this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spoke”. In 1 Peter 2:24, Apostle Peter confirmed the prophetical words spoken by Prophet Isaiah:
“ Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins might live for righteousness- by whose stripes you were healed”.
What are the purposes of this Physical healing? (i) we having died to sins, (ii) might live for righteousness. Righteousness( right standing with God) exalts a Nation. So, what are the steps for healing your condition? Look to our precious Jesus!
6. Steps to your Healing:
- Please notice, the situation of the city is pleasant
- Become a believer in the LORD, AND SPEAK GRACE
- Go out to the source of water, and cast the salt there
- SAY: The water is healed
- Confess: There is life and fruitfulness through union with the LORD Almighty.
7. Come, Take your Gift
The LORD God is the fountain of Living Waters. In Him is life, abundant life and fruitfulness. “ And the Spirit and the bride say,” Come!”. And let him who hears say,”Come!”, And let him who thirsts come. And whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely”. ( Revelation 22:17).
The Holy Spirit and the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ is inviting you! Come, take the water of life freely. Water is life. The Word is life. Jesus is the life. Come, take your healing, take your Prosperity, take your salvation, take your deliverance, take your Blessing freely. Water of life is the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ. The grace of Lord
