1. The Word of the Lord:

“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:” v.1.
Paul was a very humble person in requesting the believers to pray for him and the ministry.The prayer point is: the word of the should have free course. The psalmist tells us six important things about the word of the Lord: That we read in Psalm 19:7-10 When the word of the Lord enters and dwells in a person’s heart and mind, he becomes a glorious person. He thinks on the word of the Lord day and night, The word of the Lord was glorified with the Thessalonians.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.(Psalm19: 7-10).

2. The faithfulness of the Lord:

³ But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you
The Lord shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. Soils are improved by stabilization, the act of improving something is called stabilization. When you mix soil with cement or lime or flyash, the engineering characteristics of the soil is improved. Similarly, a believer’s life can be improved by our faith life, prayer life, Bible reading life, obedience life etc.

3. The Leading of the Lord:

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
The Lord directs us. We should follow his instructions. The Lord guides us through His Holy Spirit. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. And the bride should get ready to meet the Lord Jesus Christ. That leads us into patient waiting for our Lord Jesus Christ. God guides us through His spirit. Then we are the sons of God. The Lord speaks to us through His word. We hear the voice of God and a believer walks straightly, without turning right or left.

4. The Work of the Lord:

“Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.”
Every born again believer should do work in the world or in the kingdom of God. Work is ordained by God to meet our basic needs and also as a testimony to the world and to be blessing to our own family and friends who lack worldly blessings. Work makes us disciplined person, work empowers us to higher responsibility. Work develops our character life. Here the Apostle commands the believers work decently, beautifully and avoid disorderly lifestyle. In Tamilnadu, some of the pastors and evangelists attend conference after conferences and not do any gospel work. That is also a disorderly lifestyle. Certain conferences are necessary for spiritual development.

5. The good works of the Lord:

¹³ But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Brothren, let us not be weary in well doing. Good works are commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. What are the good works? Feeding the hurry, clothing the poor, visiting the sick in the hospitals, visiting the prisoners, receiving the strangers. Then the Lord will welcome us and say: you, good and faithful servants. Let us be good to the poor. In Chennai city, whenever, I come across poor people on the road, I stop and have compassion on them and help them and proceed happily.

6. The Peace of the Lord:

¹⁶ Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
The God of Peace gives you peace. One of the principles of church growth is, the churches should enjoy the peace, and then the churches will grow continuously(Acts 9:31). When Saul became Paul, that is a genuine conversion.

He is

1. Born again
2. Received healing in his eyes
3. Received immersion baptism in water
4. Filled with the Holy Spirit
5. Received calling to be an apostle of Jesus Christ to the gentiles

7. The Grace of God:

¹⁸ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
This is a wonderful salutation of the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonica church. Grace is unmerited favor of the Lord which strengthens and exalts and protects the born again believers in this present world. The grace of God makes a poor pastor into a rich Pastor! The grace of God is eternal life. Grace of God is salvation of the soul. Grace is spiritual power, that is what makes you a spiritual leader! Amen. Hallelujah!
