(God’s Prophetical Sunday Message by: Pastor. Dr. C. Peter Chandran, Ph.D., God’s Minister and Jesus disciple )
02 nd August 2015 from Chennai, T.N.

My dear American Believers and believers all over the world in Christ Jesus, Grace and peace multiplied to you in the precious Name of Jesus our LORD.

My dear Beloved people of God, Today God is having a wonderful message to your spirit, soul and body. Grace to you and peace be multiplied to you. The Lord says, Arise, contend and plead your case. Hear, O mountains, the Lord’s controversy, and you strong and enduring foundations of the earth. The Lord has a controversy with his people, and He will plead with Israel.

God’s People and God’s attributes

O My People, The Lord is calling you lovingly, ”My People”. Israel is God’s people. God loves the people of Israel. God is very much concerned about the people of Israel. The gentiles were not God’s people. They do not have God’s blessings. But, when these gentiles believe in the true God and Jesus the Son of God, they become the people of God. The Bible says:

“Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God; which Had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy” ( 1 Peter 2:10).

The people who have obtained God’s mercy are the people of God. Naturally, the people of Israel are God’s people; but, spiritually speaking, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the people of God. Therefore, today’s message is both for Jewish people and the church believers alike.

At the beginning of this message, let me quote some of the moral characteristics of our Lord GOD from the Bible: “… for I know that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil “( Jonah 4:2b).

God is gracious. God is merciful. We obtained God’s goodness. God is good all the time. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law, namely: sin, sickness and spiritual death. You are forgiven, you are healed, you have God’s zoe life. You are born again; you are a New creation in Jesus.

The Lord’s Requirement

People of God, remember that you may know the righteousness of the Lord: Three things you should remember concerning the righteousness according to Micah 6:4,5:

  1. what Balak king of Moab devised
  2. what Balaam the son of Boer answered him
  3. Remember what the Lord did for you from shittim to Gilgal.

This Sunday, you have come to the presence of the LORD Jesus Christ. The people of Israel used to bring the following varieties of offerings to the Lord ( Micah 6:6,7):

Burnt offerings, calves of a year old… shall I bring these before the high God? In N.T. these are not necessary, to come to God’s holy presence. 1000s of rams , or with 10,000s of rivers of oil …will the LORD be pleased with these sacrifices? No, animal sacrifices are not pleasing to Him in the New Testament grace dispensation. Giving your first born for your transgressions, the fruit of your body for the sins of your soul. No, not necessarily. Jesus the first born was sacrificed on the cross of Calvary for our transgressions and sins. The Bible says:

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. Jesus was bruised for our iniquities. We have peace through Jesus. We are healed by the stripes of Jesus. This is the Gospel of salvation and Divine Healing.

  1. What is good?
  2. What does the LORD require of you?

To unlock God’s supernatural spiritual blessings, prophet in O.T. , a minor prophet says in Micah 5:8 Amp:

“ He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? ( see also Deut.10:12,13).

God has showed us what is good for us. People of God, Today you can experience the goodness of the Lord in three important tangible ways:

  1. Do justice,
  2. Love mercy and
  3. Walk humbly with our God

These three important practical acts we must do daily, in order to experience God’s goodness in your life. Let us derive God’s message from these three things:

I. DO JUSTLY

“ The Lord executes righteousness and Judgment ( not for me only, but) for al l that are oppressed”( Psalm 103 : 6).

Righteousness is right standing before God. His way of doing things right. It is thinking morally good or fair. It is just opposite of self righteousness. Judgment is an official decision made by a judge or a court of law. The LORD executes justice for the poor and oppressed.

“ So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and they had no comforter; and beheld the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter( Ecclesiastes 4:1).

There are so many oppressions which are done indirectly by the devil under the sun. God is above the sun. There is no oppressions there. But under the sun, there are so many bad things are happening. I remember some people’s tears:

  • A Pastor in Chennai city wept bitterly and shouted with tears for his close relative’s death.
  • A man wept with shout and tears , when he saw his engineering graduate daughter’s dead body dragged by the police from the thorn bush after few days of her death because of rape and murder by North Indian boys in the IT Park in Chennai city, a few years back. The news came in the newspaper. The boys were put in prison by the officials.
  • An so on…

These are few examples of beholding the tears of such as were oppressed. A doctoral candidate, a brilliant Man of God, after being confirmed (He successfully passed his course work) after due examinations, to continue his Research in a Technical University in Chennai Tamilnadu, someone from a foreign country (USA), through his illegal money power cancelled his Registration, just about two years before (July 2013). He is oppressed by these demon possessed soothsaying rich prosperity devils till now for the past five years. Please, Dear God’s people pray for him that God will administer divine justice and again continue his Research and complete His Ph.D. within a semester time.

Yes the LORD executes righteousness and justice for those who are oppressed. “ If thou seest oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for He that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they” ( Ecclesiastes 5:8).

God Almighty is the highest of all the higher officials. Tamil translation for this verse is accurate. That higher personality is Jesus the LORD. He will definitely do justice for you speedily. Let us meditate the next: “Love mercy”.

II. LOVE MERCY

There is a wonderful Bible verse in the New Testament in Matthew 9:12,13 which is spoken by our Lord Jesus: “ But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have ( desire) mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”.

Jesus said, “ I desire mercy, and not sacrifice”. This was what prophesied in Micah 6:6-8. In one sentence ( in tamil three words), Jesus summarises it. God is not pleased in these O.T. type of sacrifices. In the N.T.( New Testament)times, the dispensation of grace, God desires merciful acts of love in action, like the Good Samaritan. Jesus said, “Go and do likewise”. He loved that victim and cared for enough to get him cured, healed and restored as a good doctor ( Read Please, Luke 10:25-37).

Jesus was not only a good Teacher, but as a good Samaritan and as good doctor, He cares for you. He is merciful and compassionate and heals you. He rescues you from robbers; He pours oil and wine on you. He brings you to the inn ( Hospital) – the church and takes care of you. Jesus cares for you totally. I want to remind you that deep meaningful verse in John 10:10, which is one of my favourite verses in the Bible:

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy: I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”

Finally, the last point in my sermon is: Walk humbly with your God.

III. WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD

Before honour is Humility. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. God will walk with you. You will walk and talk with God Almighty. What a wonderful spiritual experience. There are several blessings because of your humility. To name few of these blessings:

  1. Riches, glory& honor … Prov.22;4
  2. Prayer answered… 2 Chron.7:14
  3. Exaltation…. Jas.4:10
  4. Rest… Matt. 11:28,29
  5. Name… Phili.2:5-11

When you come to Jesus, learn from him, you have rest for your soul. When you humble yourself, God will bless you with riches, glory and long life. When you humble yourself before the Lord, He will exalt you. Jesus was conferred upon Him, the Name above all names, because of His humility and obedience till the end of His life and death on the cross. Will you humble yourself and pray this following prayer in the House of the LORD!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, My God and Father, I humble myself in your presence. What shall bring to your presence to please you or you require from me! Lord Jesus, I am poor and needy. But you are thinking on me always to bless me. I understand your goodness. God, you are good all the time.

I have decided to follow you Jesus. God, I shall do justice, I love mercy, I shall be merciful and I walk humbly always with you God. Bless me with your divine blessings and make me a channel of blessing to others. Please do divine justice in my life and ministry. I am thankful to you forever. In Jesus mighty name I pray. God my Father. Amen. Praise the LORD.
