1.Introduction:

Greetings to you in the precious name our Lord Jesus Christ. Peace be to you and Grace be multiplied to you. This week, I am going to preach to you in a moment about another miracle Jesus did about 2000 years before in the village called Capernaum in the land of Israel. Things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Hebrews 13:8 says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Expect a miracle today in your life. Everyday is a day of miracle. Let us read that second sign:

2.Bible Reading:

“ So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain noble man whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him, and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Then Jesus said to him, Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe. The nobleman said to Him, ”Sir, come down before my child dies!” Jesus said to him, ”Go your way; your son lives”. So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, ”Your son lives!”

Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him”. So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, ”Your son lives”. And he himself believed and his whole household. This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee”. ( St. John 4:46-54).

3.The Healer is in Cana:

Last week, I preached to you about how Jesus changed ordinary water into tasting, smelling and good looking wine. H e can change ordinary life into a better life. This week, we shall meditate on this healing miracle. Jesus healed a nobleman’s son. Jehovah – Rapha = The LORD our Healer .

Jesus came again to cana (it means zeal, jealous, possession) of Galilee. The nobleman lived in a village named Capernaum( a fishing village ) which was about 26 km ( 16 miles) from Cana of Galilee. The officer’s son was at the point of death. He heard about Jesus that He was the Healer and the Healer is in the village named Cana.

Being an officer, he would have gone to a physician to help his son restored. But the man believed in God Almighty. So he decided to come to Jesus. The Nobleman found the correct way. That way is the way which leads to abundant life. In John’s Gospel, Chapter 14 verse number 6, “Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”.

The nobleman went to him and requested Him to come down to his village house to heal his dying son. It was the fact that the son was nearer to death bed because of a viral fever. But the truth of the matter was different. There is a difference between a fact and the truth. The Doctor’s report may say that you are having a sickness. But the truth is , you are going to be healed. The healer has come into our village. How many of you believe that Jesus is here in this church gathering? Yes, He is here. The nobleman begged Him to come to his village, before his son dies. Jesus said: Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe”.

These are the red letters. Red letters always win. His words are important, just like the blood. They are life and spirit.

4.Your Son Lives:

Jesus said to him, “ Go your way, Your son lives”. So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way(verse 50).

This sentence “Your son lives” is repeated three times in this paragraph of healing. “Your son lives”. This is the truth. People will tell lies, every man is a liar, no one is true. God is true, His words are truth. This truth will make you a believer in Him. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

God’s word is truth. Jesus spoke the truth always. The truth is “Your son lives”. You have to believe God’s word in order to have God kind of miracle. The man believed the words of Jesus. What happened? Immediately his son got better in a remote village called Capernaum, which was about 26 km from cana. God can heal you from a far away place. Right now, a man in Texas is being restored to life. He sends His word and delivers you from destruction.

“ Ah LORD God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You” (Jeremiah 32:17).

The nobleman believed the words of Jesus, and he returned back to his village might be by riding on a horse. He was an wealthy officer, but he believed in God.

5.Two or Three witnesses establish the Healing:

As the nobleman was going down to his village town, his servants met him and told him, ”Your son lives”. These are the same words which was spoken by the LORD, The miraculous healing happened at 1.00 pm yesterday. The father know that it was exactly at the same hour in which He said to him, ”Your son lives”. And he himself believed, and his whole household. “10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”.(John10:10). Jesus has come that you will have abundant life.

Sir, if you are living for many years, and yet if you are not believing Jesus or His words, your life is a waste of living. But, if you believe Jesus and His words (The Holy Bible), Please read, you and your household will be blessed immeasurably, and you will have a bright future! The father of that son came to know Him and believed Him. This revelation knowledge is important. Our body is the temple of knowledge and wisdom. The Holy Bible says: 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding(Proverbs 9:10). 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge(Colossians 2:3).

This is the second miracle. There is 3rd,4th,5th,6th and 7 th and innumerable miracles, which I will explain in the coming weeks.

6.Prayer and Promise:

Jesus prayed for His disciples in the 17 th Chapter of John saying: “ And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent”(John 17:3). You have known Him by His words and believe in Him with all your members in your house. Then, you will be blessed forever by receiving His eternal life and great salvation with divine healing.“ So they said, ”Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31).

God Almighty, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Your Son. Thank You LORD for your words of life. I believe in Your words and I am healed. I believe Lord Jesus, You are the Son of God. Father, thank You for sending Your word and healing my body and mind. The thief wanted to steal, kill and destroy. But LORD Jesus, Your mercy and compassion loved me and gave me abundant life.
