Jesus said:" The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly"( John 10:10).

THE THIEF: Here thief refers to Satan, the devil. His works are threefold: i. The thief steals, ii. The thief kills, iii. The thief destroys. Mainly, he steals your life, then he kills( murderer) and then destroys.

When I was studying first year Civil Engineering in College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University Chennai-600025, I stayed in Room No. 2,II nd Block Hostel. One day Evening, after class in the College Main Building, I went to kurallaham-:Chennaib600001 and bought a beautiful shirt for Rs. 200/- and returned to Anna University, and brought it and put it in a hanger in my room. That night, while I was sleeping, windows opened, a thief with some devils from Rangarajapuram or Kotturpuram, I dont know, came and very cleverly took it with a steel hook, and ran away. When I awoke, I became very disappointed and saw that I lost my shirt. Then, I came to understand that this is the work of the devil.

The Bible says, " ... For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil"( 1.John 3:8).

THE GOOD SHEPHERD: Jesus says:" ... I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly". Jesus is the Good Shepherd. A herdsman, sheepherder, one who tends, leads, guides, cherishes, feeds and protects a flock. The New Testament uses the word for a Christian Pastor. He cares for the believers.

ABUNDANT LIFE: Jesus gives us His life. I will praise the LORD always. This life is eternal life( God's DNA). By receiving this divine life in our spirits, we become Children of God. Eternal life is God's gift.
