“Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest” ( Proverbs 6:6-8).

Do you want to make a difference in your life? Then pay attention to the metaphor of the Ant. It is one of the greatest teachers. Let me summarise the lessons we learn from Ant:

A- A ttitude of Initiative: Ants do not need a commander to them to get started.
N- N ature of Integrity: Ants work faithfully and need no outside accountability to keep them doing right.
T- T hirst for Industry: Ants work hard and will replace their anthill when it gets ruined.
S- S ource of Insight: Ants store provisions in summer.

We get wisdom from the ants. See her ways and learn from it. “ Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding” (Proverbs 3:13). Read One chapter from the Book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible each day. You will be enriched with divine wisdom. One of the Tamilnadu Chief Ministers, loved the Book of Proverbs and read in his lifetime. But then, it is our responsibility to read the Word of God and apply its principles in our life.

Apostle Paul was a very hard working Minister of God. He gives certain valuable principles on Work Ethics: “ that you also aspire to lead a quite life, to mind your own business and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, that you may lack nothing”( 1. Thessalonians 4:11,12).

4. Proper walk and Prosperous life.

God’s Promise of Blessings to Zion
(1st March 2020 Sunday )

Our Meditation: Psalm 132:1-18: The Eternal Dwelling of God in Zion

1 Lord, remember David And all his afflictions; 2 How he swore to the Lord, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:3 “Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, Or go up to the comfort of my bed;4 I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,5 Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; We found it in the fields of [a]the woods.7 Let us go into His tabernacle; Let us worship at His footstool.8 Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your saints shout for joy.10 For Your servant David’s sake, Do not turn away the face of Your [b]Anointed.

11 The Lord has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it:
“I will set upon your throne the [c]fruit of your body.12 If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I shall teach them,
Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore.”

13 For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His [d]dwelling place:14 “This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.15 I will abundantly bless her [e]provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. 16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.17 There I will make the [f]horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for My [g]Anointed.18 His enemies I will clothe with shame, But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.”

What is Zion? Zion= the name of the hill upon which Jerusalem was built ( I happened to visit the city of Jerusalem in 2011 september 22 and 23). Zion means sunny, height. Zion became the city of David. In the New Testament, zion is used sometimes to denote the Church of God.

Zion refers to the presence of God in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. In the NT, we are the Temple of God. He dwells in us. Zion refers to the people of God in general. In Isaiah 51:16: “And I have put My Words in your mouth; ...and say to Zion, “You are My People”.

Let us Pray:

Our Father, Righteous and Holy, My Lord Jesus, I love your beautiful temple, which is God’s church. Thank You LORD for choosing me and dwelling in my temple, which is my body, your temple of the Holy Spirit. You are my Provider- Jehovah Jireh! Thank You for satisfying me with Your living bread the Lord Jesus.

I am clothed with the garments of salvation and robe of righteousness. LORD, enlighten my lamp and make it a burning and shining lamp. Let me grow in grace and knowledge. My crown will flourish. LORD, I inherit all these blessings of Zion which is written in Psalm 132:13-18, in this month of March 2020.Thank You LORD for making as Your Zion and blessing us and inherit Your promises in the precious Name of Jesus our LORD. Amen.
