My Beloved Friends, Partners and Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, The Son of God; Greetings. I wish you Good Health and Peace(shalom) of mind. I sincerely appreciate you for reading my Newsletters and responding positively. The LORD is good. In this epistle I would like to share with you five concepts of faith from the Teaching of Jesus: Let us read Mark 11:20-26:
20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. (Mark 11:20-26)
In this five points sermon, I would like to share with you five important steps in getting answers to your prayers:
- Have Faith
- Speak positive words
- You Pray
- You shall receive
- Forgive anyone
The God Kind of Faith:
Jesus says to us: “Have faith in God”. In the original Greek language, it means, “Have God kind of faith”. Whatever God says will happen. Let God be true, and everyman a liar. But, we can have God kind of faith. When you are born again, you have “the (same) measure of faith”(Rom.12:3). Every born again child of God have the same faith. If you are Born Again, and if God says through you that one day you will become the President of the United States of America, whatever you say will come to pass. That is “ The God kind of Faith”.
“ So Jesus Answered and said to them, Have faith in God” ( Mark 11:22).
There is nothing impossible with God. All things are possible to him who believes. For example, if you are willing to earn Ph.D., in civil engineering, it is possible. The only requirement is FAITH. Jesus answered and said to the Blind Man, “ What do you want Me to do for you?”. The Blind Man said to Him, “ Rabooni, that I may receive my sight”. Then Jesus said to him,” Go your way; your faith hath made you well”. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Praise the LORD. All you need is spiritual illumination and inspiration of the word of God. Is anything too hard for the LORD? No. Nothing is too hard for the LORD. Jeremiah 32:17 says,
“ Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you”.
“ But He (Jesus) said,” Things which are impossible with men are possible with God” ( Luke 18:27).
What Jeremiah said in his Book about the Lord God, the same thing Jesus said in the N.T. about God the Father. All things are possible with God.
Speak Positive Words:
The world is filled with negative people. Someone is saying that someone else is having negative Bank Balance. In reality, God has blessed him with abundance. Devil is a liar and father of lies. Speak to your Bank Account: “ God my Father, I thank you for positive good Bank Balance, even for life time of Blessings and generational blessings. Speak to your problems with positive words. Double negative becomes positive. Negative multiplied by negative is positive. Simple Mathematics!
- I am not poor=I am rich
- I am not a borrower = I am a lender
- I am not sick = I am healthy
- I am not at the bottom = I am at the top
- I am not cursed = I am Blessed!
Thank you Lord Jesus. Begin to thank the LORD and praise Him. Your negative situations will change into positive environment. Jeremiah 29: 11 says: “ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”.
God has a wonderful Plan and Purpose for your life. He will do it. God thinks good thoughts about your life. He gives you a bright future and a living hope.
Prayer is Necessary:
The day before yesterday, I happened to participate in an evening prayer meeting in a church in Chennai. About 13 people gathered in a circle in that church building sitting in their respective chairs and started singing spiritual songs and praising and worshipping God. Then, there was testimony time. Then the prayer leader led the group one by one standing and praying for specific prayer request. I was also given a chance to stand and pray for the Missionary work in our country. Finally, we greeted one another and went back to our respective houses. What a wonderful useful time of Prayer! Friends, Individual Prayer, FAMILY Prayer and Group Prayer like this are necessary for our victorious spiritual life. Prayer brings Victory.
Prayer Promise: “Jesus said: Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them”( Mark 11:24; Matthew 21:22).
Receiving God:
Asking and Receiving. Prayer is asking. He said: Ask and you shall receive. Grace gives and faith takes. God is a good Father, He is gracious. The earthly father gives good food ( bread, fish and egg ) to his children. He clothes them, provides good house and car and higher technology education. How much more our Heavenly Father! The Bible says in Luke 11:13:
“ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
In our environment, there is a concept for our sustainability. The definition is: “Sustainable Development is the development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs”. I like this wonderful scientific definition and really understand this concept. For example; A Father depositing $10 Million in his son’s Bank Account. Bank interest is enough for his good life. Capital is safe. Life long happiness!
The Apostle Paul says: “ And God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”( Philippians 4:19).
- I receive God’s Blessing
- Satan, take your dirty hands off from my finances.
- Thank you Father God, for your love gift of Blessings.
- God’s people say, Praise the LORD!
Forgive anything:
Finally, to enjoy the blessing of the LORD, you and I need to forgive one another. Forgiveness is God’s nature. Our Heavenly Father’s nature. Bitterness, Greed, covetousness, Gossips, fraud are the carnal demonic nature. Let us have and demonstrate Divine Nature by forgiving one another , loving one another and helping one another and encouraging one another. We are in the family of God. We need to forgive our brothers and sisters in the church. God’s church is God’s House and God’s family. Forgiveness is key to relationship. It all begins with forgiveness. I am not speaking about forgiveness of sins. We know pretty well, Jesus forgives our sins. We love Jesus our LORD. I am speaking about forgiving one another. Forgive and forget. Let us move on to perfection! Forgiveness is the key to your miracle!.
“ Let al bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you”( Ephesians 4:31,32).
