Who is Jesus? Let me explain to you about Him. His name is Jesus. His name means Savior. Jesus saves His people from their sins. Jesus is with us. Jesus is the Son of God. There is a prophecy about Jesus Birth in the book of Isaiah:

“ Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, And shall call His name Immanuel” ( God with us). ( Isaiah 7:14 )

This prophecy was fulfilled in the New Testament times. We need spiritual insight to understand this prophecy. Jesus was in the Old Testament and He is revealed in the New Testament. My dear Jewish people, I am preaching to you that this Jesus , who was born of virgin Mary, He is the Messiah ) (the Christ = the anointed one ). He revealed Himself in the famous I AM statements of Jesus in the gospel of John.

1. I AM the bread of life

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.(John 6:35).(John 6:35).

Jesus says to you, “I am the bread of life”. People are hungry spiritually soulishly and physically. They are thirsty. In Chennai city, In some of the slum areas, the sewage and clean water are mixed together and flowing to them. About 10,000 households are affected by the non-responsibility of the public health Engineers. People all over the world are in need of basic needs like good house, Clean food and clean potable water. People all over the world should understand that Jesus is the bread of life. His words are like nutritious food. And His Holy Spirit is the clean water. We need to have fellowship with Jesus. Then you shall never hunger and by believing Him, you shall never thirst.

2. I AM the light of the world

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,” I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall never walk in darkness, but have the light of life” ( John 8:12).

Early in the morning, Jesus came to the temple, and all the people came to Him. Jesus is the good Teacher. He taught them about the kingdom of God. A very important lady was brought to the presence of Jesus by the Religious leaders in those days. She was caught in Adultery. She was a miserable lady, experiencing a little bit of lake of fire, even in this present life. She desperately needed forgiveness of sins and peace of mind in her life. To make the long story short, Jesus forgave her sins and liberated her from her sinful life into a holy life. My dear friend, Jesus forgives you and makes you a leader in the society again. Jesus introduces His divine life into your spirit and you are Born Again. Jesus is the light of life. He changes you into a better person. That lady said,

“ THANK YOU MY LORD”. What a wonderful positive attitude, and 360 degree turn and change of life! God is love. Jesus spiritually loves you and forgives you and gives you His peace. Do not worry, Do not be afraid. God is good, His mercy endures forever.

“ And He said to her: Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction”( Mark 5:34).

3. I AM the door

Then Jesus said to them again,…”I AM the door, If any one enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture”. ( John 10:9).

Jesus is the door. Door provides access into your house. In a better House, there are many doors inside, but the main door is very important. Jesus is the door to eternal life, salvation and Heaven. Come into Him, then you will be saved. Once you receive Jesus the salvation, inside Him or “In Him”, you will have so many spiritual blessings, especially abundant life, even in this world.

4. I AM the good shepherd

“Jesus said: I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” ( John 10:11)

Jesus is the good shepherd. He knows the names of His sheep. Figuratively speaking, people are the sheep. He knows them by their names. They hear His voice. He brings them to the waters of life. He shepherds them by the integrity in His heart and the skill of his hands.

Finally, the Good Shepherd Jesus suffered for us, shed His precious blood and died on the cross of Calvary instead of us, experiencing the wonderful death. Do not worry, it was the plan of God. What a great and wonderful and surprising love of God! I shed tears of Joy many times before the computer and in my prayer life, understanding His love, His good life and His provision for me. Jesus died for us, imparting His life – the everlasting life into our spirits and truly, we are born again Children of the Living God. Thank you Jesus for Million times or billions of times, I thank you, Lord Jesus. The Bible says, “ The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want” ( Psalm 23:1).

5. I AM the resurrection and the life

“ Jesus said to her,” I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? ( John 11:25,26).

Jesus is the resurrection and life. He revealed this to the sisters Mary and Martha, who lost their brother Lazarus, just few days before. Lazarus died and was buried and was laid inside the tomb for four days, he was stinking because of his mortal body, and it’s nature of corruption. But Jesus was the friend of him, and Jesus wept. To make it brief, Jesus raised him from the dead, for He said,” Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God? ( 11:40).

Jesus gave life to Lazarus and raised him from the dead and made him new.
If you believe Jesus, you shall never die, you will live forever. This is the Great news of the Gospel. His resurrection power is on the inside of you. Death is swallowed up in victory”.

6. I AM the way, the truth, and the life

“Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; No one comes to the Father except through Me”. ( John 14:6).

Jesus is the way. You may have number of your own ways. Those are not His ways. His ways are higher and better and life changing ways. Jesus is the truth. He speaks the truth. If Jesus died, we should say, He died; If Jesus is alive, we should speak the truth that He is alive. Do not say: “dead person is alive”. ( Here I am speaking about physical death).For example, Dr.D.G.S.Dhinakaran died in 2008, Feb’20, The famous “Christian songs of Joy” writer and singer Sarah Navaroji died in 2014; Pastor Sam Sundaram Senior Pastor of ACA died on 7 th June 2015. All these ministers of Gospel died physically, they are not alive physically today. We should not say that they are alive in physical form. They all died, I personally witnessed their burial ground in Kilpauk Cemetery, and I honoured and respected them while they were alive. Speak the truth. Jesus is the life. He is full of God’s life. when He was living on this earth. He died, He conquered death and hell and the lake of fire. He rose again from the dead. Jesus is alive today. Believe on Jesus, and receive the life of God, today.

7. I AM the true vine

“Jesus said: I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser” ( John 15:1)

For a plant to grow, it needs clean water, sunshine, air, nutrients, earth etc., Then only, it will be green. Why darkness and paleness and sorrow on the face of the plants? Because of the lack of above ingredients. If all these things are available, accessible and abundant in it, it will be glorious, flourishing and will be like a green olive plant.

Jesus is full of God’s life. There is a prophecy about Jesus in the Book of Genesis: “Joseph is a fruitful bough,A fruitful bough by a wall; His branches run over the wall”( Genesis 49:23).Even though, this prophetical blessings are about Joseph, the 11 th son of Jacob, this is finally about Jesus and modern day saints of Jesus. People grieved him, shot at him by bad words and hated him; But by the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob, He became the shepherd and the Stone of Israel. Glory to God. Jesus is the true vine. Amen.

PRAYER

Father in Heaven, I praise you for your Only begotten Son Jesus. I believe and praise you Jesus for you are the bread of life, the light of the world, the door, the good shepherd, the way the truth and the life, and Jesus you are the true vine. Thank you Lord for revealing yourself to us in this day. I receive nourishment, satisfaction, access to salvation, life of God, the way, the truth, fruitful life in the name of Jesus. Father thank you for all these spiritual blessings. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
