Greetings to you in the precious Name of Jesus the Son of God. God is with you. He will give you rest and everything will be fine in your family.
Let us meditate on the Joy of the LORD. Our LORD Jesus spoke a parable to the Pharisees and Scribes. He said:
“what man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!” I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:4-7).
Here in this short story, three types of Joys are mentioned in this passage:
- Shepherd rejoices, when he found his one lost sheep
- Shepherd’s friends and neighbors rejoicing over that sheep’s returning.
- More Joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents.
Usually, people loose something in their house. When they search, they find that thing and even some other things also. When you find it, you are happy and begin to rejoice.
God is concerned about the repentance of the sinners, Jesus is the Good shepherd, who came to seek and save the sinners. In the Holy Bible, sinners repented and their lives were radically changed. Examples are:
- Zaccgaeus repented and became a saint.
- Samaritan Women, the prostitute was changed by the LORD’s conversation
- Saul the Chief sinner became Paul the apostle and many more people.
There will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents. The Bible says that Joy comes in the morning:
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
Joy, rinnah (ree-nah);
Strong #7440 : A shout of rejoicing; shouting; loud cheering in triumph; singing. Rinnah describes the kind of joyful shouting at the time of a great victory.

In, Prov.11:10, rinnah describes the jubilation of the righteous when the wicked are eliminated. “when it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish, there is jubi-lation”.
Zeph.3:17 literally says that God will dance over His beloved people with singing or a shout of Joy. Rinnah may best be illustrated by the testimony of the redeemed, returning to Zion from captivity. Rinnah is the word to Tamil or English Christian songs of Joy and gladness and sing Psalms. James 5:136: “It anyone cheerful? Let him sing Psalms”.
Zephaniah 3:17 says: “The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing”.
King Solomon instructs us how to be happy in this world:
“A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. (Prov.15:13), “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones” (Prov.17:22)”. There should not be negative attitudes in your heart. You should not hide bitterness, hatred, fear in your heart. Be positive in your mind. Be happy, then the people around you will be happy too. Smiling, being happy will make your face beautiful. A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance.
Psalm 144:15 says: “Happy are the people who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!” When Israel had the Lord as their Captain of Hosts, they were assured of victory (Happy).
Psalm 4:7 says: You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. Grain and wine show to us materialistic success in the produce of the field. When a farmer gets a plentiful yield from his land, he is happy. When a good father puts an amount of money to his son’s account, this brings lifetime happiness. The Psalmist says: The LORD has put gladness in my heart. This is spiritual happiness
“Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name” (Psalms 97:11,12).
The Apostle Paul says: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
Your names are written in the Book of life. You are a born again son of God. You are born to victory. You win souls. Be happy.

J = Joy in the Holy Spirit … Rom.14:17
O = Overflowing with living water … Jn.4:10; 7:38-39; Isa.12:2-3
Y = Yield to His presence … Acts 2:25-28; Ps.16:8-11

Joy in the Holy Spirit .. Rom.14:17
“And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 13:52).
“Yet I will rejoice in the LORD. I will joy in the God of Salvation” (Habakkuk.3:18).
Paul and Barnabas preached the Good news to the Gentiles. They believed Jesus is the Messiah and were saved. Ministers of the Gospel were persecuted and they went to Iconiun, the next city. What happened? The believers were filled with joy and happiness. Habbakkuk had fellowship with Yahweh the LORD. He says: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD.
Dear child of God, do not worry about tomorrow. Do not worry about clothing. Do not worry about food or about your future. Seek God’s kingdom. Seek God’s righteousness. He is faithful to bless you with all material things. He is God our Father. After this, God fills you with the Holy Spirit. This is called the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
The Apostle Paul said: “for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
Dietary laws are good. For more importance is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Love, Joy, Peace etc., God’s kingdom is joy in the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit anointing makes you always happy.
O = Overflowing with Living Water … John 4:10
Isaiah the prophet prophesied about the Salvation of the LORD and the Baptism and the fullness of the Holy Spirit in several scriptures:
12:2 YAH, yah (yah);
Strong’s #3050: The shorter form of the Lord’s holy name Yahweh, or Jehovah.
“Praise the LORD” means “you must all praise Yah!” It is a beautiful expression for Joyous worship,

“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He has also become my salvation”. Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:2,3).
Behold means look. Look, God is my salvation. To overcome fear, you need to believe God. The LORD is my strength and Salvation. Look Jesus. He suffered for you on the cross. He died for you. He was buried. But, on the third day, He rose again from the dead. Jesus is alive Today. To get your salvation.
- Confess : Jesus is LORD
- Believe in your heart, God raised Him from the dead.
When you put your faith in Jesus and confess Him, you are saved.
Jesus talked with an adulterous lady. She came to draw water in the middle of the day. To start, He asked her water to drink. She was arguing with Him about giving water. Then she came to know that He is the one who gives her Living Water, which quenches her soul. Her life was radically changed when Jesus said everything she did, for she had five husbands. She received her great salvation. Her life was changed, she became a good woman of God, telling the Good News of salvation that Jesus is the Christ to her Village people and she brought them to Jesus.
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, “Give me a drink; you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water” (John 4:10).
“Living Water” indicates a great illustration of regeneration into everlasting life. Compare with 7:37-39. Those who are satisfied by Jesus will themselves become channels of spiritual refreshment for others. The figure of rivers contrasts with “a fountain” (4:14), illustrating the difference between one’s new birth and one’s experience of the overflowing fullness of the Spirit filled life.
Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water”. One is salvation experience, another is being filled with the Holy Spirit experience. Two distinct work of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life.
Y = Yield to His Presence… Psalm 16:9-11
“For David says concerning Him. I foresaw the LORD always before my face, for He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. For you will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in your presence” (Acts 2:25-28).
This is not about David. This is a prophecy of David about Jesus. He says, this is that. This is about the resurrection of Jesus. There is joy in the resurrection. How? Let me explain it:
When Jesus died on the cross, He committed His Spirit to His Father God. His Body was buried in the rich man Joseph’s tomb. His soul went into Hades. His soul was in distress during those 3 days. the Devils rejoiced that He came there. But He went there for a great Divine purpose. After three days, God quickened His spirit by imparting Him Zoe life and His soul was not left in Hades. His soul became a living soul. Jesus rose again from the dead. God’s Holy One did not see corruption. Jesus is Holy and Righteous. God raised Him from the dead. Jesus is alive Today. He was not the victim and He was / is the Victor forever. This is the message of resurrection. Rejoice in the LORD. Jesus is risen! You are Born Again by believing this resurrected Jesus.
“and killed the Prince of Life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses” (Acts 3:15). “You are my Son, Today I have begotten You” (Acts 13:33).
He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus: “I will give you the sure mercies of David.” Believe this Message, you will experience the Joy of Salvation.

There is joy in the presence of the LORD. There is Joy in salvation. There is joy in the Holy spirit. There is joy in finding His word and there is joy in resurrection.
