“Do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with you God

“ He has shown you, o man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? “ ( Micah 6:8)

Introduction:

For today’s God’s message, the prophetic word is from the above Bible verse. The introduction for this message is the LORD’s revelation about the goodness of the Lord. The simple question is what is good? He wants to show you what is good. May the LORD give light to your eyes, so that you will see what is good. Do not see what is bad. Let us understand what is good.

First of all, God is good. Which means the Father’s nature is goodness. Every good thing comes from the Father . He is altogether good, and there is nothing bad in Him. Jesus is good. He went about doing good to the people, in way of preaching good news, healing people and delivering demon possessed. Let us shout that Jesus is good. The good gift is the gift of the Holy Spirit. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will experience the goodness of God.

After this LORD’s revelation, the true minor prophet asks another question: What does the Lord require of you? There exists three answers for this for this vital question:

  1. The LORD requires you to do justly
  2. The LORD requires you to love mercy
  3. The LORD requires you to walk humbly with your God.
Let us get the message of God from these three biblical statements of the LORD’s requirements:

1.Do Justice:

We are living in a unrighteous world. People who call themselves righteous are living a lifestyle contrary to the life of righteousness. Children of God, believers should live a righteous life. The Bible says in Isaiah 1:17 “ Learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the oppressor: defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.”

Jesus spoke about God’s justice in Lk.18:1-8. A poor widow continuously pleading her cause to an unjust judge. Finally, she received her justice. We have to rebuke or reprove the oppressor. The oppressor is the devil, the serpent. Devil’s workers oppress others through hard work and less salary. If you are experiencing oppression or depression, know that the demons are working against you. The next thought is: defend the fatherless, I.e. orphans or semi- orphans. We need to plead for the widow. God will judge our thoughts, words and deeds. Let us do justice for poor and needy people.

2.Love Mercy:

The LORD is merciful. Let us read the word of the LORD from the minor prophet Joel 2:13 “ So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord YOUR God, for He is gracious, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from the doing harm”.

One of the ways of rending your hearts is through fasting and prayer and weeping in prayer. Repentance towards God for your shortcomings, errors and sins. For He is gracious and merciful. The Lord Jesus always met the needs of the people with compassion, when He saw the multitude of people, and helped them very promptly and immediately understanding their urgent needs. Let us also be merciful and obtain God’s mercy. Jesus says, “ I desire mercy, and not the sacrifice”. The third component of His requirements is to walk humbly.

3.Walk humbly with your God:

The life of humility is a wonderful rewarding life. Humility brings exaltation. We should live a humble life everyday in our speech and actions. Jesus says : “ I am meek and humble in heart, learn from me”. Let us learn from Him. Jesus washed the disciples feet. God will bring down the rich and lift up the poor people.

“ He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among the princes and make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s and He has set the world upon them”( 1 Samuel 2:8).

“By humility and the fear of the LORD, are riches and honor and life”( Proverbs 22:4).

God can lift you from dung hill. He can even lift rag picker or a person low estate.. God can bring down a very rich person in a city, if He wills. He can lift a poor and wise and clean man of God. Now, what is your dream? There is nothing impossible. God can fulfill that dream desire and actions. He can set you among the princes and shall inherit God’s blessings salvation, eternal life and all spiritual blessings. The foundation of the earth are the LORD’s and He has set the world upon them.

When you fear God and humble yourself under the mighty hand of God you shall have i) riches, ii) honor and iii) life. Jesus our God can richly bless you, and help you to live a honorable life and Jesus is our life. God bless you with this wonderful prophetical message this month and the coming great, blessed and victorious new year.. Amen.

Declaration:

God I declare today that God has shown me what is good, and I shall do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God. Amen.
