Greetings to you in the precious name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Isaiah 1:19 is the promise for this month. There are two conditions and one promise in this verse:

Conditions:

1. If you are willing
2. And obedient

Promise:

1. You shall eat the good of the land

In the Holy Bible, many people heard the voice of God through the word of God and they obeyed and inherited the good things of the word. We must read the word of God, hear the reading of the word of God read and spoken in the church and practice doing the will of God which is the word of God.Such a man or woman of God are blessed in their life. Now. Let us first go our first biblical example from Matthew 21:28-32.

1.The Parable of the will of the Father

What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He came to the first and said, Son, go and work today in the vineyard. And he answered, I will not, but afterward he changed his mind and went. Then the man came to the second and said the same thing. And he replied. I will (go) sir; but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of the Father? They replied, The first one.”

This gospel story is a wonderful story containing some spiritual truths. We must think on this parable of Jesus. There was a man who had two sons. This is a real story, I believe. This man was a real good man who lived some years before this story was told. We understand from this story that one son was obedient and another son of him was disobedient. The obedient son obtained the blessing. What was the instruction of the father?

“ SON, GO AND WORK TODAY IN THE VINEYARD “.

The first son heard his father’s instruction. Since, he was the first son, he wanted to stay in the house and be complacent and enjoy the blessings of the house. He was hesitating to go out and WORK IN THE VINEYEARD..Since he was his beloved son, he wanted to obey his father. Therefore, he obeyed his father and went and worked in his vineyard. But the second son was timid, he said immediately, I will go sir, but he did not actually go into the vineyard. He was a sluggard and remained idle in the house. He did not hear properly and thus he did not do the will of his father. There are so many people sitting idle in their houses or standing idle in the street corners. They are in the cross roads of life, not knowing where to turn? A Bible verse for your thought:

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.( 2 thessalonians 3)

Let us be like the first son, who heard his father’s voice through his words and did his will. Vineyard may represent your secular job like teaching in the college, doctor in the hospital, farming in the lands , etc., or spiritually speaking it represents working in the kingdom of God like preaching the gospel or teaching in the church. Whatever He tells you to do, do that ministry. Just as the first son, be willing and obedient and eat the good of the land. Now, let us go to the second example from luke chapter 18 about the young ruler who wanted to inherit the most important goodness of God eternal life.

2. Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

A rich young ruler came to Jesus. This man wanted to inherit eternal life, he kept the 10 commandments. This young man was morally a good person, outwardly, he did not commit any unpardonable sins. Yet, inwardly, he was lacking something in his life. Jesus with love, wanted to correct him, saying,” one thing you still lack, sell everything that you have and divide the money among the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come back and follow Me.”

The rich ruler heard this, he became distressed, and very sorrowful. Jesus said, How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!

Not understanding the heavenly riches, the riches in the glory of God, the young rich ruler was not willing to help the poor, he was disobedient to the will of God. If he had been obedient to the will of Jesus, he would have been inherited the eternal life. Therefore, it was tough for him to enter into the kingdom of God. What is the kingdom of God?

The Bible answers in Romans 14:17:

“ The kingdom of God is not a matter of getting food and drink one likes, but instead it is righteousness and heart peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”.

Food, drink and raiment are the carnal things of this world. The things of God are spiritual things which are righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. That is eating the good of the land. Eternal life which leads us to healthy and wealthy life in this world. Look at the goodness of God in Acts 14:17.

“ Yet He did not neglect to leave some witness of Himself, For He did you good and showed you kindness and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with nourishment and happiness”.

By loving others like yourself and treating the poor with honor, you can enjoy the kingdom of God with its fullness. Now, let us study luke 5:1-10 as our next example of being willing and obedient.

3. Launch out into the deep water, and let down your nets for a catch

Large number of people pressed upon Jesus to hear the message of God, He was standing by the lake of Genesaret ( sea of Galilee ). He saw two boats and got into one of the boats. Since, Peter requested Him to come and sit in his boat, He began to teach the people gathered there. After, Simon sowing seed of his boat to Jesus ministry, now peter is ready for the harvest from his seed sown already. This is the law of sowing and reaping. Now, the wonderful financial, economical and wealth miracle starts to happen in his blessed life.

( Would you please, invite Jesus Christ into your boat, into your life, into your church pulpit right now, today, to teach the word of God and he can teach many hours! And your life will be changed. You too will experience the following miracle! ).

He said to Simon Peter, Put out into the deep water, and lower your nets for a haul. And Simon Peter answered, Master, we toiled all night ( exhaustingly) and caught nothing in our nets. But, on the ground of your word, I will lower the nets again. And when they had done this , they caught great number of fish; and as their nets were ( at the point of ) breaking.

The obedience of Peter fetched the great miracle of large number of fishes in his boat both for him and his friends. Peter caught the fishes and now others are also benefited. Peter was overcome with excitement, amazement and great astonishment. Peter became a totally new minister of Jesus Christ. Jesus said to Peter, “ Fear not, from henceforth, thou shalt catch men”. What a wonderful promise and prophecy about Peter the apostle!. My dear friends, God is speaking to you today. Will you be bold, will you be willing and obedient to Jesus and He wants you to bless you abundantly. Would you please pray with me now:

PRAYER:

FATHER GOD, Thank you for your promise. I want to hear your words, let me hear your words. Let me speak the words of Jesus ( matthew, Mark, Luke and John), Jesus, I want to obey your words, Strengthen me to obey and continue in your word since I am your disciple. I know, obedience is better than sacrifice. Therefore, I want to obey your great commandment and great commission. I Love others as I love myself. I love you Jesus, thegreatprophet . God Jesus I praise you. I believe and receive all your goodness. Thank you Jesus from my heart. Thank you for loving me and blessing me and meet all my needs. I praise you. In Jesus mighty wonderful and precious name I pray. Amen.
