1. I WILL FILL THIS TEMPLE WITH GLORY
This is the promise of God. God’s people laid the foundation for the sanctuary and the work began. Haggai was not only a building supervisor, but a spiritual leader, who began his message about finishing the building, but then focused on the presence of God. God manifested His presence in the tent of the Tabernacle. Then after some time, God gave wisdom to king Solomon to build a temple for His name.
When Solomon had finished praying , fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. ( 2 Chronicles 7:1).
Note the sentence: “ The glory of the LORD filled the temple”. Whether it’s the tabernacle, or Solomon’s temple or latter this temple mentioned in Haggai, God always intended to fill His temple with His glory. Solomon followed three steps for temple construction:
- He decided to build the temple
- He started building the temple
- He completed building His temple
After the construction of the temple, the LORD filled His temple with His glory. God’s glory is God’s visible manifestation of His presence. Let us desire His presence.
2. THE SILVER IS MINE, AND THE GOLD IS MINE
God owns all the Mineral Resources, Water Resources, Oil Resources and all the resources of the Earth. God is the creator of the earth. Therefore, God is the owner of the earth.
“ The earth is the LORD’S, and all it’s fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.( Psalm 24:1,2).
Since, He is the owner, He can supply Millions or Billions of Rupees or Dollars for fulfilling God’s assignment of making God’s people His dwelling place. That is the purpose of any construction Project works, namely God’s Temple:
“ And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them”( Exodus 25:8).
“ I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them up out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them, I am the LORD their God” ( Exodus 29: 45,46).
- God dwells among His people
- God says, “ I am the LORD your God”,
- God brought us out of the land of Egypt.
God says, All the people in the world are Mine. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to suffer, to die on the cross of calvary and be raised again from the dead. Jesus is dwelling in us and we are His temple: The Bible says:
“ Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are” ( 1. Corinthians 3:16,17).
There are five facts mentioned in these great revelation knowledge to the Apostle Paul:
- You are the temple of God
- The Spirit of God dwells in you
- If anyone defiles the temple of God( a Christian believer, the child of God), God will destroy him
- The temple of God is holy. Holiness is a character of a believer.
- You are God’s holy temple.
With this revelation knowledge, let us now desire the presence of God to fill inside and to manifest visible.
3. THE GLORY OF THIS LATTER TEMPLE SHALL BE GREATER THAN THE FARMER
God speaks about this latter temple and compares with the farmer temple. This temple is made of clay. But, we have treasures inside. We have GOD on the inside of us. Christ in us the hope of glory. The Spirit of the Living God is dwelling in us. God’s glory is filling us. How to obtain the glory of God?
There are five facts mentioned in these great revelation knowledge to the Apostle Paul:
- Prayer
- Holy Spirit
- Gospel
- Sufferings
- Sanctification
Let us study these in detail in the following sections:
PRAYER
“ Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; His face shone like the sun , and His clothes became as white as the light” ( Matt. 17:1,2).
Jesus took with Him three of His disciples upon a high mountain. Claiming up on a mountain is a very good physical exercise. And after that praying to God is a good spiritual exercise. Because of these physical and spiritual disciplines, a notable change happened in His life on that day; ACTUALLY, A TRANSFORMATION HAPPENED.
- His face was shining like the sun,
- His clothes became as white as the light.
Face shining, clothes glistering are the good experiences everyone wants to have in this life. Everyday. This is the visible sign of the inner glory to the people.
HOLY SPIRIT
“ But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” ( 2. Corinthians 3:18).
Behold the glory of the Lord. Who is this Lord? He is the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. Mirror is God’s word. Through reading and meditating the word of God, we are seeing Jesus and we are being transformed like Him, from glory to glory, strength to strength, Faith to faith, Anointing to anointing, Grace to Grace. We want to be like the glorified Jesus. The Spirit of God does this glorious work. The wind of the Holy Spirit transforms us into the image and likeness of God.
GOSPEL
“ To which He called you by our Gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2.Thessalonians 2:14).The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation. Gospel words heard and spoken through mouth makes a powerful impact in your life. Some of the examples are:
- Matthew 6:33; 11:28; 16:16-18; 28:18-20
- Mark 1:35; 10:45; 11:22-24; 16:15-16
- Luke 6:38; 6:47-49; 7:48-50
- John 1:12; 3:16; 4:10; 6:35; 8:12; 10:9,10,11; 11:25,26; 14:6; 14:27; 15:1,16; 16:33; 17:3
- Acts 1:8; 3:15; 4:12; 10:38; 16:31
And also important verses from the epistles and the Book of Revelation. These gospel verses and gospel events spoken and meditated will bring a wonderful transformation in your life. Also, the resurrection of Jesus Christ will definitely transfigure ( change) your life in this earth and forever.
SUFFERINGS --- GLORY
“ For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings” ( Hebrews 2:10).
The Captain of our Salvation is Jesus Christ. He suffered in Jerusalem by the evil decisions and actions of the officials. Jesus shed His precious blood, through this blood, we are redeemed from the curse of the law. And we are partakers of the nature of God and the glory of the Lord. After sufferings comes the glory, like Joy comes in the morning.
SANCTIFICATION
“ And Joshua said to the people, sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you. ( Joshua 3:5). God is holy, we must be holy in all manner of our conversations. We need to sanctify ourselves. We need to cleanse ourselves. We need to wash and cleanse ourselves. Then this promise of the LORD doing wonders among us will be fulfilled. That is the glory of the LORD. By changing water into wine, Jesus revealed His glory and His disciples believed on Him.
4. AND IN THIS PLACE, I WILL GIVE PEACE
Jesus said: “ Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” ( John 14:27).
What a wonderful verse on the peace of God. Do you love the word of God? If yes, you shall obtain God’s peace. Before His death on the cross, Jesus gave His disciples Peace. It is not worldly, but it is spiritual and heavenly. The devil cannot disturb this peace, it cannot be troubled or you need not be afraid. Stay calm, be cool. Peace, be still. Have your mind and heart filled with Jesus words. Talk to God. And the peace of God will fill your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. The result of these glorious experiences is the divine peace.
“ Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble”( Psalm 119:165). ‘ You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Trust in the LORD forever, For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength” ( Isaiah 26:3,4).
You will not overturn, you will not slide, you will not be weak; you shall have peace of mind and strength in your inner man and strength and health in your physical body. The glory of the LORD will be seen on you. Amen. God bless you and make you a blessing.
