SUPERNATURAL ACTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BY EVERY BELIEVER

In the book of Acts, God worked special acts by every believer who were filled with Holy Spirit. There are five important super naturals . The first one is supernatural words.

SUPERNATURAL WORDS

Jesus spoke words of grace, words of authority, words of life, words of the kingdom and words of the Father. In the same way, the apostles sermon were powerful sermons with courage. There are 10 important sermons in the book of Acts. Four sermons by Peter, one sermon by Stephen and five sermons by Paul, all of them describing the ministry, sufferings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By these powerful sermons by the apostles and believers many souls were saved into the local churches. People were surprised by the boldness of their words. They spoke the wonderful works of God with the supernatural anointing of the Holy Spirit. They spoke the words of God with boldness and not their own words. They gave themselves to prayer and the ministry of the word. Some of the important verses in Acts are:

  1. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved, 2:21
  2. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses. 3:15
  3. And neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 4:12
  4. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power , who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. 10;38
  5. And God raised him from the dead, 13:30
  6. And saying Sirs, why do you these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities, unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein. 14:15
  7. And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 16:31
  8. And the times of this ignorance God winked at: but now commandeth, all men everywhere to repent. 17:30
  9. Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace; For I am with thee, for I have much people in this city, 18:9,10.
  10. … and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus , how He said. It is more blessed to give than to receive. 20;35

These are some of the important words in this book to mention. Words like these will absolutely change the lives of people and believers. Speak the words like these in the church, in the street and every where, mighty things will happen. The next ingredient of the first church is supernatural witness.

SUPERNATURAL WITNESSING

The believers and the apostles witnessed about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They were endued with the power of the Holy Spirit to proclaim powerful witness for the New life, genuine conversion and the LORD. The Apostles were the witnesses of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Stephen became a powerful witness in Jerusalem to the Jews in word and performing signs and wonders. Philip the evangelist proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ in Samaria and entire city had revival. Paul became a powerful witness to the officials and the gentiles as a light. They were all empowered by the power of the Holy Spirit to became witness for the LORD. The BIBLE Says:

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and to Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the earth” 1:8 . The next ingredient in Acts is supernatural worship.

SUPERNATURAL WORSHIP

‘ These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren. 1:14

Prayer brings victory. Disciples prayed together for the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Paul prayed for his healing and God’s will concerning his new life. Cornelius prayed with fasting and did many good works to the people and his house received salvation through the preaching of Peter. Prayer was very important spiritual exercise for the growth of the first church. The church prayed for the Apostle Peter. The church worshipped the LORD to perform healings and wonders. Prayer is asking. Prayer is seeking and Prayer is knocking. They fasted and prayed to the LORD and worshipped Him. “ And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them. 16;25 And the next greatness is supernatural works.

SUPERNATURAL WORK

There are three types of work:1. Secular work, 2. Official work and 3. Spiritual work. Believers who worked in the secular world became a powerful witness for Jesus, like Aquila and Priscilla who were tent makers. Lydia was a business woman who was selling purple and she was a dealer and wealthy woman. The second type of workers like Stephen, Philip and Timothy who were assisting the full time apostles, they performed great works in their every day Life. Philip was led by the Holy Spirit to Gaza and villages and witnessed to an African eunuch of Ethiopia and he believed Jesus and he was baptized by Philip. The third type of workers like Paul who was called to be an apostle , but worked in tent making in the mission field for a brief period of time and then became full time apostles. God worked for six days and rested on the seventh day, Work is good in the context of our Christian life, They all own many souls for the kingdom of God when they were led by the Holy Spirit to do particular Job.

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul. So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. 19:11,12 .

Paul performed mighty miracles in the island called Mileta(28) after saving 276 souls (27:37)in the ship.

SUPERNATURAL LOVE

The last characteristics of the first church believers were the supernatural God kind of love. The Bible says: God is love. The God kind of love. Grace does not discriminate people or we can say that grace does not entertain race or racism. Holy Sprit anointed believers in the first church loved others like themselves as Jesus said; Love your neighbor as thyself. We love all people all over the world. Church is a global community of believers or global village. The believers loved God and the believers and shared their material things if anybody lacked anything. The love of God dwells in us when we love our brethren. LOVE ONE ANOTHER is the message of APOSTLE JOHN. The Holy Spirit is shed abroad in our hearts the love of GOD. We are empower by Him to love all especially the household of faith. Peter loved Jesus and fed his sheep with the word of God. The seven workers loved the people and served them. Paul loved the household of Timothy and made him the child of God and Pastor of the Ephesus church. Paul served God from his divine love for JESUS CHRIST. The people in the early church loved one another and loved the people in the world and brought them to salvation experience.

Do you love the LORD JESUS CHRIST? Then God provides the responsibility of feeding His sheep. God makes you a shepherd. Well, This is the message of the book of Acts. May our church become like this church. God Bless you. The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you. Amen.
